Disappear into this gentle, tropical world where a symphony of beautiful instruments plays along with the sounds of nature. Real Music artist, Mark Ciaburri, provides over 65 minutes of tranquil, meditative music with Charles Ka’upu lending his profound Hawaiian chanting.

"As I sat quietly by the ocean, looking out at the beautiful Hawaiian islands of Molokai and Lanai, I started hearing a song - the song that the birds were singing. The more quiet I became, the clearer I could hear their song. Hundreds of birds singing in perfect harmony. Slowly the sound of the ocean started to blend in and I realized that this too is music - beautiful music and the song of the birds and the sound of the ocean were in perfect harmony together. I began to imagine musical instruments joining in, flutes like conch shells caling out over the waves - an invitation for other instruments to come and be part of this majestic song that nature is always singing. Like the birds and the ocean that blend perfectly, I could hear all these peaceful instruments playing along. Seamlessly - a cello could appear, sing and quietly disappear, creating space for the next instrument to do the same. 'Wow!' I thought, 'This is great. I'm having a real vision.' So, I set out to try to capture it on tape. Over the next two years it did come together."

"Napili studios is in the middle of a small bay on the island of Maui. When the musicians that played on this recording came to the studio, they would be looking out to the same view, which was the original inspiration for this project. So that made it simple for me to communicate to all the players what I had in mind. I remember the day Charles Ka'upu came in, not knowing me or my music, he was not sure he wanted to chant on this recording. So I described my vision to him. He sat there looking out the window and listening to the track for what seemed like a half an hour or so, then he said 'OK, give me a microphone.' I did, and I started the recorder. A few minutes later, out of this big gentle man, came this incredibly beautiful sound. He sang for awhile as he continued looking out over the aqua blue waves. When he stopped, I asked him what he sang about. He said that he was chanting about the beauty of the islands and the different channels of water in front of us and his love for this magical place. And then I thought 'Ahhh, this is good.'"

Reviews
"If you like music that transports you, this cd is like taking a pilgrimage into ancient, celestial realms. I was admittedly excited to hear that Ciaburri had a new cd out but listened with a critical ear. He won me over in less than a minute. I use it to cruise by, to wake up to, and to take the edge off a long day. When played for a group of friends, all the chatting stopped, everyone burrowed into their chairs, closed their eyes, and tripped into the music. All anyone could say was "Whoa! What was that?" It's a great ride!"
- Sunny Massad, Ph.D., President and Founder, Hawaii Wellness Institute

"An expansive, multi-layered tapestry of different instrumental sounds...the music continuously changes and morphs, featuring the swirling sounds of guitar, cello, harp, choir vocals, flute oboe and keyboards."

"Who ever wants their winter fun can keep it; give the rest of us Hawaii. With some real new age stars helping things along, the show piece hour long suite is something new and different for the label. Created over time in a studio with a great Hawaiian vista, it seems like the view charged up the players. If a set like this can't ease the pain of a traffic jam, nothing can."
- Chris Spector, Midwest Records
