Drawing on extensive catalog of Real Music releases, president Terence Yallop has assembled a collection of beautiful and engaging arrangements featuring pianos, guitars, keyboards, flute and even ambient space music. With emphasis on pianos and keyboards, this lovely set includes veteran performers Kevin Kern and Benward Koch, and newcomers Bernard L’hoir, Hiko, Back to Earth, and Huw Warren in delicate readings of their creations. Michael Hoppe’s contribution is a new guitar version of the piano work “Song for Sarah,” which appeared on Unforgetting Heart. 2002 also features guitars on “Summer of 300 Years.” Tim Wheater supplies vocal work accompanied by his flute, synthesizers, and light percussion from Incantation. Tracks are included from 2002’s Land of Forever and I Ching Symphony, which were among the top five New Age Album of the Year finalists by the Association for Independent Music (AFIM). Troika’s rendition of David Arkenstone’s Goddess is the sole special excursion. For 50 minutes of simple and elegant sound, this collection is a sublime bouquet. New Age Retailer
This is a really great collection of beautiful instrumental songs. There are 13 tracks that all somehow tie in together yet are distinctive in their own right. This is a great album for massage therapists and those who want beautiful uncluttered music to fill their space.
