What can be more restful than to lie down on the soft grass and listen to the rustle of leaves and songs of the distant birds? What can be more natural than to stay under a starry sky and feel yourself as an inseparable part of existence? And then your heart will be filled with infinite love and you will be able to share it without thinking with the others. The music of Kenio Fuke is overfilled with a love for Nature. His piano is very heartfelt and positive. The artist masterfully adds various nature sounds and soft orchestration to his compositions. As a result the album has a subtle and refined sound and this project is easily listened to in one sitting. The strong classical school is felt in the compositions of the young Brazilian-born composer. At the same time the music of Kenio Fuke is full of inspiration and freedom. It reminded me the creative work of Suzanne Ciani in spirit. But Kenio Fuke definitely has his own style. Relaxing Melodies of Nature is perfect for relaxation and mind, body and soul harmonization. Real Music again discovered a remarkable artist for the new age music lovers. Kenio Fuke’s debut on this renowned label turned out very bright. We will be impatiently waiting for the new releases of this talented composer. Just listen to the Relaxing Melodies of Nature and start the journey to your own Universe.

Mixing melodies with nature sounds is a common practice amongst New Age musicians these days. But it's not the mix that is important; it's the quality of the music that makes the mix work. Kenio Fuke is a Brazilian pianist and this is his debut album with Real Music. It is not disappointing. Rather, the quality of the piano work to achieve a relaxing yet interesting mood is top shelf. The piano compositions are contemplative but never unduly so; light but not unimaginative. I found the titles appropriate for the tracks, eliciting a visual to accompany the melodies. Garden of Roses gave me the impression of a stroll through a regal Victorian rose garden. Spirit of the Water took my imagination to waves and beaches. Enchanted Forest was the dense cover and peaceful retreat of an early morning walk in the forest. Sounds of water and birds accompany the compositions, lending an air of nature without being overdone. They are skillfully dabbed through the tracks to create an atmosphere, not a jungle or a flood that overwhelms the senses. I did find this to be a preferred early morning collection. The music is soft, gentle and great with coffee and watching the sunrise. But it will enhance any space where peace, relaxation and calm are called for. This is a very serene and comfortable collection of piano that is skillfully crafted by Kenio Fuke. Relaxing Melodies of Nature is a good addition to your ambient collection.

This is Kenio Fuke’s debut for Real Music, though the Brazilian pianist apparently has several recordings to his name. The musical arrangements reflected on Relaxing Melodies Of Nature are sophisticated, stylish and subtle and it begins with the delicate “Song For Kiara” followed by the flowing “Summer’s Love”. But by the third track we are introduced to the sounds of nature which initially compliment the music but this becomes more distractive than complimentary as the album progresses. In fact, Mother Nature’s influence is downright annoying on “Enchanted Forest” and to a lesser extent on “Atmosphere”. While the intent of the nature soundtrack was probably to bring more tranquility to the soft and beautiful music of Fuke, for the most part it took the focus off the music. The good news is that Kenio Fuke’s music is attractive enough to stand alone without any assistance from Mother Nature and hopefully next time it will just be about the artist and his body of music.

Relaxing Melodies of Nature is Brazilian-born composer Kenio Fuke’s debut on the Real Music label. (He has released several CDs previously on other labels, mostly imports.) A classically-trained pianist, composer, and conductor, Fuke’s music is a perfect fit for Real Music’s high recording standards and legacy of relaxing, soothing, and often nature-based music. Birds, water, and other natural sounds run through the piano-based music, accompanied by strings, keyboards, and an assortment of orchestral instruments. I hear shades of early Kevin Kern in some of the music, but Fuke’s style is his own. (I mention Kevin only because if you love his music, it is a pretty sure bet that you’ll love Kenio Fuke’s, too.) Two tracks from this album also appear on Namaste’ Massage, which was released earlier this year by Real Music, and which piqued my curiosity about this very promising emerging artist. Listening to a full hour of Fuke’s music is akin to a gentle massage for the mind and soul, uplifting the spirit and replacing jangled nerves with warm, positive energy. Relaxing Melodies of Nature begins with “Song for Kiara,” a delicate and loving piece with ocean sounds in the background. The piano melody is simple and sincere, with strings adding washes of pastel color. A lovely opening! “Summer’s Love” is a favorite. A slow, graceful melody is shared by piano and cello, creating a sensual duet that is beyond beautiful. “Espheras” shimmers as birds sing cheerfully in the background. “Infinite Love” is again cello and piano with additional string washes, and is tranquility set to music. “Spirit of the Water” is a bit more orchestrated, but ever so gently. This is water at its most peaceful, not a stormy sea - gorgeous. “Magical Land” overflows with wonder and dreamy fluidity - sure to be a classic. “Enchanted Forest” incorporates a touch of mystery to its magical dreamworld. There are no threats, just delightful surprises as you move slowly through the landscape. Oboe and keyboard sounds convey wonder and beauty. “Soul” closes the album with a smooth and captivating piece for piano, strings, and keyboard washes over birds singing. By this time, you should be feeling very refreshed and renewed. I do! Relaxing Melodies of Nature is a delight from start to finish, so if you are looking for soothing music to savor and relax with, check this one out! It is available wherever Real Music releases are sold. Recommended!

By the 2000s, the term for the kind of mystical acoustic music that Brazilian pianist/composer Kenio Fuke created on this collection was no longer known as new age. His label, Real Music, which has been releasing albums from these kinds of artists since the '80s, now calls it “music for relaxation and renewal” — which is also a perfect description of the gentle, graceful seduction it creates for the listener. A welcome addition to a roster that has long included one of the masters of this genre, Kevin Kern, Fuke graduated from the Dramatic and Musical Conservatory of São Paulo as a classical pianist, composer, and conductor. He applies his gift for (low-key) drama and melody to a set of beautiful, elegant pieces that he plays either as solos or with light layers of strings and well-placed guitar and oboe harmonies, in addition to some sweet forest-based nature and bird sounds. This type of atmospheric accompaniment is in line with the liner notes that suggest that listeners imagine themselves lying in soft grass under a canopy of trees. But titles like “Spirit of the Water,” “Garden of the Roses,“ “Portals of the Universe,” and “Dance of the Dolphins” make it clear that Fuke's music is adaptable to wherever the listener wants to imagine. It's beautiful for what it is, and because the songs all have a similar simple rhythm, the collection is best experienced as a whole — while out in nature or on the table at the spa.

“Song For Kiara” is the first track on Relaxing Melodies of Nature, and the resulting effort immediately tattoos Fuke’s inimitable style onto the minds and hearts of anyone fortunate enough to listen in. “Summer’s Love” takes a slower pace, adding a deeper, more deliberate sound to what listeners expect from Fuke. It is during Infinite Love where the disc moves to the next plateau; the track gains a little speed as the arrangements continue to wash over listeners. Little more is needed to create a fulfilling track than the piano and a little bit of atmospheric elements. While Fuke creates a small grouping with each of the album’s 12 tracks, there is enough differentiation to keep listeners coming back for more. The different styles heard at the end of the aforementioned Infinite Love and the beginning of “Spirit of the Water” should show this – while they are composed at the same tempo, the comparison should by all intents and purposes end there. Ending Relaxing Melodies of Nature with a trio of six-minute tracks (“Atmosphere,” “Dance of the Dolphins,” and “Soul”), Fuke finally feels that he has the listeners’ complete attention. By moving into these longer tracks, I feel that he puts his full being into these efforts. Where there is no lacking of Fuke on the rest of the album’s tracks, Fuke is able to up the ante and make Relaxing Melodies of Nature into a must-buy. The sixty-two minutes of this album give listeners a musical soundscape that they will not soon forget – there is eclecticism present to these compositions that will not soon be topped. Top Tracks: “Spirit of the Water,” “Dance of the Dolphins” Rating: 8.5 out of 10

It should come as no surprise that Real Music would find another recommendable New Age music keyboardist to add to its already formidable list of artists. Kenio Fuke’s debut on the label, Relaxing Melodies of Nature, presents twelve gentle soundscapes on which the artist’s piano melodies are accented by orchestral and solo string textures, a touch of woodwinds, and an occasional subtle layer of textural electronic ambience. Assorted nature sounds further enhance the soothing aspects of the music. Kenio Fuke is bound to be another jewel in Real Music’s crown, so get in on the ground floor with this artist’s debut release.

Filled with sensitivity, sensuality and soul, this recording by Kenio Fuke is transporting. A Brazilian native, Fuke blends piano, guitar and other orchestral instruments into compositions that reflect the subtle but profound beauty of nature. You instantly find yourself in a lush tropical landscape, under a majestic evergreen forest canopy or beside a gently babbling brook. Whatever natural scene is soothing to you, Fuke manages to take you there.

After signing with the prestigious record label Real Music, composer and pianist Kenio Fuke releases Relaxing Melodies of Nature, a very straightforward title that gives voice to scenarios where the green is the predominant color and life shines in all its splendor. Joining piano, keyboards and orchestral, Fuke offers more than an hour of relaxing music, where the sea, birds, wind and lots of beautiful sounds pass through our ears, stimulating the senses and making us dream. Relaxing Melodies of Nature are simple melodies that provide a sweet voice, without overshadow the real star of the album, nature. "Song for Kiara" opens the album. The piano is the instrument that presents the sea and its soothing sound. The piano is careful in the touch, like the almost imperceptible string ensemble that accompanies the listener to focus attention on the perfect partnership that made the piano and the sea. "Summer's Love" is my favorite piece. Although the birds sing with joy, this is a piece in which the beautiful composition and instruments arising downplay environmental sounds. Cello and Piano was presented with an amazing understanding in a poignant melody. Fascinating! In "Esphera" resurfaces the singing of birds. In this case, the piano is replaced by the crystal sound of an electronic keyboard. This composition really is hypnotic. Reappears the soothing sound of the sea along with cello and piano in "Infinite Love". In this piece, we must stress the string ensemble and especially the beautiful melody that comes in the hands of Kenio Fuke. A dreamy, soulful piece. Undoubtedly, one of my favorites! "Spirit of the Water." For the first time appears between keyboards, the electric guitar sound, a sound sad for a nostalgic and reflective piece, a melancholic moment whose piece itself, is a lament. "Magical Land" is pure fantasy and delicacy, the piano sound is repeated under joyful songs of birds and accompanying oboe softly. It really is a composition to listen quietly and make your imagination. Beauty and mystery involves the music of "Portals of the Universe" from the song of birds, which have already written their role throughout the album. The piano is deep, sensitive and passionate. I like! "Garden of the Roses" is the continuation of the previous track. A treat for the ears, the music is started from the piano accompanied by cello and birds. Delicate and beautiful, Fuke still caressing the listener's soul with great melodies. What sensitivity! Magic is "Enchanted Forest", an enigmatic piece where the keyboard makes chords for a sad oboe. Full of feeling. a slow melody and very sad that deep cove. Exciting, that's "Atmosphere," a composition in which the piano is an instrument radiant, accompanied by a sublime cello. The duo is stunning, a masterful performance where both instruments are understood perfectly. Again, another of my favorites! An surprise before the end is "Dance of the Dolphins", where the sounds made by dolphins are music. The piano is still the star, but the strings set as background accompaniment are admirable. To conclude, "Soul," a warm and loving theme. The keyboard is alternating melody with oboe and strings, which gives the subject a great set of sounds in an environment full of stillness. A perfect way to end, caressing peace and achieving a complete wellness! In Relaxing Melodies of Nature we can enjoy the unique sounds and melodies deep, soulful, songwriter and pianist Kenio Fuke gives voice to nature in this album. Playing with sweet instruments, and like objective, awakening magnificent sensations in the listener, Fuke itself present in grand style with this latest work, an album that will get fall in love to who will listen, introducing to the listener in a stunning natural environment. Maestro Fuke, Congratulations!
