This video with our new artist Chris Haugen (whose album, Fallling Water Shimmering Strings releases in November) explains a bit about his instrument, the Weissenborn.
Listen to Chuck Wild’s (Liquid Mind) interview with AwesomeLifeHQ. “Do you have a hard time chilling out, relaxing, and finding peace? In our busy fast paced lives there are not a lot of things that can bring us serenity, calmness, and peace of mind. Liquid Mind’s music has been medically documented to do just that. Over 500,000 people a week listen to Liquid Mind (generating over 2,000,000 plays weekly) on Pandora alone.
Congratulations to Mike Howe on his recent nomination for Best Contemporary Classical/Instrumental song by the Hollywood Music in Media Awards. The track "Remember" is from his self release album Lichens. Check out Mike’s previous releases on Real Music, including Heading West from 2013, which also received rave reviews. “[There] is something refreshing and utterly unique that makes this disc into one of the best we’ve reviewed in the last 12 months.” —NeuFuture Magazine
A brief twenty minute history and highlights of ten time Grammy Award nominated Pianist/Composer, Peter Kater's, evolving career path, filled with interesting details and cameos from well known artists. Enjoy!
A beautiful track, “Claire’s Song” from the new album by Sacred Earth, kuTumba. From the booklet, “A song for Claire as well as an honouring to all of our ancestors who no longer walk on the earthly plane but have transitioned into the light of love. Thank you for your constant blessings and illumination on our path home.”
“ ‘Om Tare’ is a wholly immersive track from Australia’s Sacred Earth. From the onset the act is able to create a musical landscape that elicits comparisons to a desert clime. As the composition continues to play, the rich flute and string dynamic that is created ensures that listeners are on the edges of their seats. The track continues to evolve, bringing in a perfectly intertwined duet of vocals.” — NeuFutur Magazine
So much New Age and electronic instrumental music relies heavily on atmosphere and not so much on sheer melodic romanticism. Favoring melodic content rather than daring atmospherics might not be true for every artist, but it is in the case of Bernward Koch. Bernward’s 2015 album on Real Music is called Remembering and you really get that feeling of neoclassical remembrances on his most recent CD.
We’ve posted a new video for “Floating Feather” from the new album Remebering by Bernward Koch. “A classically-trained and internationally-loved artist, Koch’s music is always sweetly optimistic yet expressive and complex enough to keep it interesting with repeated plays. It creates a warm and soothing sonic atmosphere for a quiet dinner, reading, or simply relaxing since the music has no hard edges or abrupt changes.” —MainlyPiano.com
