Wednesday, October 17, 2012

Meditation can be as easy and basic as this and can work perfectly well. However, you might want to expand your awareness of what to expect and to explore some of the possibilities through the practice of meditation.

Molecular Music
Tuesday, October 9, 2012

Dr. Masaru Emoto has spent a lifetime researching and testing the effects of positive thinking on the molecular structure of water. His experiments include relaying thoughts to the water through single-word labels on beakers, prayer and music. His findings are both controversial and fascinating. Since then, many follow-up studies have either confirmed these findings to some degree or revealed that perhaps “The Mozart Effect” has no long term effect at all.

The Sound of Global Unity
Monday, September 24, 2012

Regardless of nationality, political beliefs or the borders that separate us, music has always had a way to break down barriers, dissolve differences and bring us together. We don’t have to understand the language of the lyric or even know the instruments played to enjoy the result. The visionary music from our artists around the world personifies this oneness. We were amazed to realize just how many nationalities are represented among our 2012 releases to date.

A Voice for the Voiceless

Dr. Gottfried Schlaug, a Harvard University neurologist, has found that music has the potential to re-wire the brain. Dr. Schlaug has been working with stroke patients who suffer from impaired speech. His findings reveal that those who are exposed to Melodic Intonation Therapy show signs of improved auditory communication. Instead of using the damaged left hemisphere of the brain where the speech center is located, somehow the music has trained the right hemisphere to perform basic communication functions.

The Universality of Music
Thursday, September 13, 2012

In the words of Walt Whitman, “I sing the body electric,” as referenced by Kahlil Gibran, “in the depth of my soul there is a wordless song.” It is apparent there is universality in music. The underlying premise is that we are all connected by a bonding force that we have an awareness of, music acts as a conduit to that awareness. It reveals emotional states that exceed our capability to express in words.
