It has long been known that the way in which we perceive the world is largely influenced by the way in which we already know the world; we notice a group of creatures flying in the sky and we automatically perceive these creatures as birds.

In 1993, the University of California Irvine produced a very famous study on the effects of classical music as it relates to the memory and IQ of students. “The Mozart Effect," as it became known, took the decade by storm and soon every expectant mother had headphones around their midsection in an attempt to form the next Einstein. Since then, many follow-up studies have either confirmed these findings to some degree or revealed that perhaps “The Mozart Effect” has no long term effect at all.

The Sound of Global Unity
Monday, September 24, 2012

Regardless of nationality, political beliefs or the borders that separate us, music has always had a way to break down barriers, dissolve differences and bring us together. We don’t have to understand the language of the lyric or even know the instruments played to enjoy the result. The visionary music from our artists around the world personifies this oneness. We were amazed to realize just how many nationalities are represented among our 2012 releases to date.
