Rajendra Teredesai performed live at the Chuang Tzu auditorium on August 14, 2013 for the morning Silent Sitting. In this short interview he shares about his experience and describes Osho International Meditation Resort.
To compose and produce a solo album is always hard work. To begin I had exactly 40 new tunes — only thirteen of the very best made it to the album. While playing and recording I was in a state of complete concentration — really lost in another world. Sometimes the process was fraught with stress, while other times I reached a kind of “floating world” and the music came freely.
Real Music has posted a new YouTube video for “The Enchanted Path” from Bernward Koch’s new album Day of LIfe. “Day of LIfe begins with “The Enchanted Path,” a piece overflowing with grace, calm, and just a hint of magic. Bohm’s ethereal flute is perfect, adding a breath of springtime.” — Bette Timm, Music Reviewer
I've been thinking about trends in music lately. In 1994, when I made the decision to start distributing the slow music that had helped me to cope with debilitating anxiety, I submitted a 30 minute tape of the piece Zero Degrees Zero (subsequently released on the album Ambience Minimus) to several record labels.
The latest video from Real Music is for “Underwater World” the third track on Amberfern’s new album, AquaEssence: An Ocean of Calm.
Grammy Winner Omar Akram was recently interview by Christopher Caplan of RYOT News. “I think it definitely brings you closer to the source of creativity. I feel this way almost every time. I remember David Lynch was talking about it. He said it was like “searching for the big fish,” or in other words, reaching deep down. I can reach deep down inside of myself and get to the big fish — that big creative idea. That’s what it’s all about, the big creative idea, and TM helps me find this.”
Recently Amberfern was interviewed by Robert Silverstein of mwe3.com. If you want "more Amberfern" this is a great in-depth chat with lots of photos.
Liquid Mind listeners often ask me about my musical influences, either on behalf of themselves, or their kids who might be interested in learning and performing music. The earliest influence for me was singing sacred music in children's choirs starting at age 5. I started playing piano the same year, and by age 10 was begging the church organist to let me play the beautiful 39 rank Kilgen organ in our church. By age 13, I was playing organ for Sunday youth services.
A quick interview with the always dashing Omar Akram at the BET Awards. Omar's new album Daytime Dreamer will hit the streets on September 24th. Stay Tuned!
Alain Gauthier, the extraordinarily talented choreographer/co-director of Cavalia, and formerly acrobatic choreographer of Cirque du Soleil, has created a most stunning video to Liquid Mind's "Soft Focus" from Liquid Mind X: Meditation. Chuck Wild (aka Liquid Mind) says “Alain creates spatial environments using pixel choreography, it is truly unlike anything I've seen. My great gratitude to Alain for his beautiful setting to my music.”
