New Video for “Om Tare” by Sacred Earth
Wednesday, September 23, 2015

“ ‘Om Tare’ is a wholly immersive track from Australia’s Sacred Earth. From the onset the act is able to create a musical landscape that elicits comparisons to a desert clime. As the composition continues to play, the rich flute and string dynamic that is created ensures that listeners are on the edges of their seats. The track continues to evolve, bringing in a perfectly intertwined duet of vocals.” — NeuFutur Magazine

New Interview with Bernward Koch
Monday, September 14, 2015

So much New Age and electronic instrumental music relies heavily on atmosphere and not so much on sheer melodic romanticism. Favoring melodic content rather than daring atmospherics might not be true for every artist, but it is in the case of Bernward Koch. Bernward’s 2015 album on Real Music is called Remembering and you really get that feeling of neoclassical remembrances on his most recent CD.

We’ve posted a new video for “Floating Feather” from the new album Remebering by Bernward Koch. “A classically-trained and internationally-loved artist, Koch’s music is always sweetly optimistic yet expressive and complex enough to keep it interesting with repeated plays. It creates a warm and soothing sonic atmosphere for a quiet dinner, reading, or simply relaxing since the music has no hard edges or abrupt changes.” —MainlyPiano.com

Momentum by Frank Steiner, Jr.
New Interview with Frank Steiner, Jr.
Tuesday, June 30, 2015

A fine composer of sublime sounding New Age instrumental electronica, Frank Steiner, Jr. released his 2015 album Momentum on the California based Real Music label. In addition to the music and electronica on hand, there’s some tasteful percussion that carries the music forward with sure-footed momentum, hence the title. Steiner’s fascination with World Beat music as well as New Age enchantment is never far away, giving the album an ancient as well as a futuristic feel.

A video preview of the new album by Frank Steiner, Jr. Exotically shamanic, softly jazzy, rhythmically expressive — all given voice by this master of global musical genres. With some pieces solo piano, some lightly orchestrated, others gently tribal with accompanying world percussion, Steiner has created a work capturing the power of movement.

New Video for “Road to Byblos” by Rajendra Teredesai
Wednesday, May 13, 2015

“The tale of a weary Lebanese soldier returning to his beloved home, ‘The Road to Byblos’ conjures up images of Arabian nights in a song which expertly combines Teredesai’s flute with punctuated synth keyboard effects. …Perhaps the coolest thing about Crosswinds is it’s offering a unique take on 21st century Indian music. Many western music fans are familiar with Ravi Shankar and the unique contributions of his sitar in pop and world beat music, but Teredesai’s flute shines a light on a lesser known instrument that also has a rich history in the path of Indian music.

Continuing to pave the way for world class, state of the art New Age instrumental music, Real Music released a new CD in 2015 entitled Crosswinds - World Flute Conversations by Indian flutist Rajendra Teredesai. The subject of Teredesai’s latest masterpiece is various flute melodies from around the world, including melodies from the Middle East, China, India, America and Bali. The windswept qualities of the flute are quite pronounced in Teredesai’s music. From his liner notes for the Crosswinds CD, Teredesai explains, “Most tracks on this album have a story to tell.
