Quiet Days

Quiet Days by Various Artists

Exquisite, dreamy, enchanting... No matter what kind of day I am having, I find myself relaxing to this amazing music playing in the background — gentle, yet so powerfully uplifting” —Auriela McCarthy

An hour of musical enchantment carefully selected to help you discover and strengthen your true essence. Quiet Days allows the softest voice to be heard. More than 287,000 sold to date. Each of us needs sacred time and space in our busy days. Let this music be the friend that takes you there.

Glowing health is our natural state. Despite all the stress and drama in our daily lives, our bodies naturally seek to heal. Our ancestors understood that the healing of body, mind and spirit could be facilitated through healing environments and rituals, including dance, temples of healing waters, toning, drumming, sweat lodges, meditation, massage and music. In modern times, we have come to associate healing with recovery from illness or injury. However, many people are realizing that even with vibrant health, we can still “heal” our mental, emotional and spiritual selves, in turn complementing and strengthening our physical presence.

“Real Music continues to release music selected by the most exclusive resorts and spas around the world and is so prominent that the CDs consistently attain top positions on Billboard magazine’s New Age Chart.” —International Spa Association (ISPA)

One of three Cds in Real Music’s Sacred Spa Music Series, Quite Days is my favorite album of the group. A compliation of the most soothing and relaxing pieces from previously released albums, this collection consists of track from 2002 (2 tracks), Kevin Kern (2), Hilary Stagg (3), Michael Hoppe (2), Tim Wheater, Paul Machlis, and Bernard L’Hoir. While calming and quiet, most of the pieces have enough sparkle to keep the album very interesting in the foreground as well as creating a lovely backdrop for other activities or simply unwinding. Piano, harp, flute, and keyboards make up most of the instrumentation. All of the selections are gorgeous, and some are haunting in their beauty. As a collection, this CD has a spmewhat melancholy mood that is also comforting as well as soothing and reassuring. I love this album, and highly recomment it!

“When I discover an album I love, my tendency is to play it all the time - at home, in the car, in my office. Ignoring the danger of overdoing it, I play the music over and over again until eventually — a different album replaces my current favorite. This hasn’t happened with Quiet Days. I have been listening to it almost exclusively now for such a long time. What can I say? ‘Exquisite’ is the word that describes it best perhaps. Exquisite, dreamy, enchanting... No matter what kind of day I am having, I find myself relaxing to this amazing music playing in the background — gentle, yet so powerfully uplifting. Before I know it, I am smiling, I am filled with hope and I know: everything is going to be all right. Life is good. People are good. The future — positive and full of promise.

Many people today realize that good health and relaxation go hand in hand. The growth of the relaxation music industry in the last 10 years has been remarkable. Healing of the body and mind can be facilitated by a calm environment, ritual, movement and music. Real Music has assembled a selection of healing tracks from their “best of” healing sounds. Musicians include pianist Kevin Kern, keyboardist Michael Hoppe, flautist Tim Wheater and the duo 2002. There are several tracks from harpist Hilary Stagg, including the all-favorite Pachelbel’s Canon. Excellent collection.

An hour of enchanting music is what you’ll find on Quiet Days, the newest CD in the Sacred Spa Music Series. This carefully chosen selection of songs helps the listener drift off to that wondrous place of comfort, quiet and calm.  With performers Kevin Kern and Hilary Stagg contributing to this compilation of peaceful melody, Quiet Days is making its way into more and more spa rooms.
